Brake is a cross-platform distributed cracking utility. It is aimed at people that want to crack a large number of iOS apps in a short period of time, and for people that want to crack a really big app really fast!

Changelog

[*]0.0.1: Really really useless version: Basic IPA searching/parsing, testing cross-platform compatibility
    [*]0.0.3: Cracks IPAs!
[*]0.0.4: Cracks properly, bug fixes, stores SSH configuration
[*]0.0.5: Comes with a GUI! bug fixes
    [/list]

I primarily use Xaramin Studio on Mac to develop and compile it, it's really handy and it's free!

I have tried giving this a test and am wondering if I am missing something obvious. I can happily SSH to my phone from my local PC and have the correct info st in the app. No matter what App I try to crack I get the same error as follows:

beginning cracking process.. Cracking Ways to Die Uploading IPA to device.. Cracking! (This might take a while) Clutch -i 'Upload.ipa' 100Dies.app/100Dies /tmp/crackedBinary cracking output: Downloading cracked binary.. Could not find file, help!!!!!

If I look in the local temp folder on my windows PC I can see the where it extracts the IPA and also see the upload.ipa file and the extracted executable so I am not sure what file it is referring to when it says it couldnt find the file. As the doesnt extract the full IPA and only seems to extract the exe and sc_info folder is it referring to not being able to find clutch?

Clutch is on my iphone5 in the bin folder named "clutch".

This is going to be a godsend when its fnished :)

You have to download Clutch 1.3.2-git4 and move it to /usr/bin/Clutch (case sensitive!) We'll be adding an automatic downloader and version checker for the Clutch binary soon :)

--

can you have it be named clutch with a lowercase "c" I think that way is easier, also, make sure that the .deb of lutch installs it the way that is necessary for brake.

also, i wish the -C for the config utitlity could usea lowercase letter c

this looks good with the GUI.

no thanks, github is much easier to maintain and it's easier for other members to update it as well :)

Does any cracker need a "Upload to Filehost" and "Post to IC" option for Brake?

If there is a strong demand, I can work on that.

defibatley this is a big demand, i myself was thinking of making such a tool or finding someone to make it. defiantly this will be awesome, especially if you can include several file hosts. this is a definite answer to ***addicts CrackAddict and a total gamechanger for crackers, this potentially automates the whole process, and also add support to upload allready cracked IPAs. you should check out appspy which is a java apllication for mac anf windows that is open source. integrating brake into appspy and adding uploading and submissions support is shat should be done lets call it distributor, powered by brake. hotsjf why not start a new thread where we can discuss this tool. happy new year all!

we'll probably be introducing an API where you can write custom submission modules and file upload modules. That's still a long way to go though, haha
