The purpose of this topic is to provide helpful results to those looking for an App-Locking tweak which is compatible and most-functionable on 7.1.1. This will help those who 1) simply cannot choose, or 2) are afraid of testing it.
Been testing out some App-Lock tweaks (tweaks which lock apps with a password set by the user. When the app is about to be opened, the password is required). I'm testing them on 7.1.1 and the results are down below.
This is completely experimental. I'm completely responsible for my device and my device only. You are responsible for your device(s). I'm warning you now.
*Results may vary!*
Test results are affected by my device specs, conflicting tweaks, etc. These factors do affect the results, and create a margin of error.
Device: iPhone 3,1 (16GB) running 7.1.1 on Geeksn0w's Semi-Untethered Jailbreak.
Lockdown Lite: Installation is successful, but when attempting to configure, device crashes and device lands in safe mode. Attempts to respring/reboot prove useless.
Lockdown Pro: Installed with a cracked .DEB file, goes into safe mode right-away after installation respring. Possibly due to cracked file.
AppLocker: Installed successfully, configured successfully, but caused crashing into Safe Mode. These crashes were uncommon but still recurring. After uninstallation, the crashes stopped.
Locktopus: I didn't even try this one, since its description only mentioned up to IOS 4.x.
iAppLocker: Probably the most stable, and gets the job done, but you can only lock 5 apps for free. Any other apps over the limit requires an upgrade.
Overall: If you only need to lock up to 5 apps, iAppLocker it is. AppLocker (paid) is good for more than 5, but beware crashes.
