my bad, I should say after iOS 7.

for iOS 7 and below, you can use the iTunes sync in AppCake, then back up all cracked apps like normal apps with iTunes.

but after iOS 7. I don't know which tool is best for the job

I had wondered about this myself. When I got my first iPad, I had some cracked apps that weren't on the iTunes Store anymore and I'd put some time into them, but couldn't figure out how to save the data. I think I used ifunbox and copied the apps contents over thinking that I could just copy it back after updating the os, but it didn't work. This was before Appcake though, think it might've been installous or something like that. I get that there's no easy way to backup game data, but IS there a way at all? Unless it's a game that isn't on iTunes anymore, I usually only keep a cracked game for a week to test it and see if I like it before buying it from iTunes, but for those games you can't get at all anymore, sucks when you have to start all over again.

Generally speaking, you can backup all iPhone data from iTunes and iCloud before resetting your iPhone. Several days ago, I have met the same trouble. Since my iPhone stuck on Apple logo, so I have to turn to factory settings to restart it. Most disappointed thing is there is no backup of my iPhone. So all data erased. As for you, if you are used to backup data regularly, you can recover data from iOS devices.

To be honest, it is a must to back up your iOS data before jailbreak.
The reason is that jailbreak can easily get your data files lost and deleted.
For iOS users, the common way to sync and back up iOS data is to use iTunes or iCloud, which is simple to operate and safe.

As far as I know, iTunes is the best and secure option to back up data. Also, I have read about itools.but do not know if it is actually working by now
