Ok so you probably know many Apps/games crash on iOS 11 monster hunter stories/escapist 2/ember etc.

So here’s a guide how to install crashing apps

1. Install newterm 2
2. Install ipapatcher from this repo https://level3tjg.github.io/
(Also one called ipapatch- basically you need to sign the entitlements to the binary)

3. Download ipa and copy it’s directory location via filza

4. Open newterm SU passwrd (at this point I recommend changing tour root password)



5. Type ipapatcher /(paste your directory for ipa here)
Wait for it to work can take a few minute but you have on screen prompts.

After you will find patched ipa in the directory your original ipa was in, in patches folder

Install via filza

Monster hunter stories
Escapist 2
Ember
Oceanhorn

Let’s get a list going of what it can or can’t fix


And by weekend I might start posting patched fix iOS 11 fully working ipa’s

Does this make apps listed for iOS10.x work on 11+?  

Like Goodnotes 4? or PDF Expert?

 

I am waiting for ios12 jailbreak, but i see a lot of apps that are listed for ios10 only not even 11.

No after @user_hidden point me to a few notorious ones I’ve found the majority still crash.

Some marked iOS 10 will work but seem mostly games (who knows why).

So yeah turns out I was getting luck and all the apps crashing on iOS 11 started working for me but was just luck tbh.


Either way it’s worth knowing that some crashes can be solved!

Sorry won’t be uploading anything myself,( don’t know if I want to risk uploading stuff)but monster hunter will defiantly work for you.

Edit: monster hunter is a big app so you need 6-8gb free

1.9 for the original ipa

Then 4 + 1.9 for the unzipping and signing part then delete original (to save space)

Then 1.9 for ipa + 4gb for installing

If that makes any sense

Info on how cracks work, or why they don't is hard to find on here. Maybe I just haven't found the central wiki resource

I get "Error, could not sign binary."

Then cracker might have already attempted to sign it, or you have symbols in the text. I.e ( or ]

Or protection, when I posted this guide I had got very luck and all 6 ipa’s I tested worked so though I had found gold, rather it was Fools gold lol

Use the new Unc0ver jb tool for ios 12

I find the ipapatcher script will mess up the file permissions after patching, tested on iOS 12 Unc0ver.

Not sure what you mean? But on 11.1.2 jb permissions seem normal to me, or ifehat i think tehy are same as appstore apps via filza
either way a broken app is working so im happy

But could need ios12 update

would the IPAPatcher entitlement signing thing, would solve the iOS 12 CoreTrust thing that prevents you
from installing a cracked applications (exported Apps with CrackerXI for example) on your iOS 12.x jailbreak device?
