I know Apple website says iPhone XR supports hdr10 and Dolby vision. I’ve even seen it work on Vimeo app. To test it, play a HDR supported video and start screen recording and you will see the colors become washed out because the app turns off HDR during screen recording. I know that the phone lacks a true HDR Display, but it’s at least better than SDR. I don’t know why YouTube doesn’t add HDR playback on XR. I want to know if we can stream HDR content on iPhone XR in apps like Netflix, amazon prime video, etc. If anyone knows any app besides Vimeo that supports HDR on XR. HDR playback on iPhone XR?
