Hi,

Recently inherited a iPhone 4S that had been in long term storage (battery was at 0).

Was very conservative in charging and noticed that it would boot loop.  First thought due to bad battery but after checking device info with 3uTools noticed that it was Jailbroken.

Have been doing Internet searches how to fix this boot loop problem.

Did a forum search but got No results found for 'jailbreak boot loops'.

Hope someone seeing this has some suggestions!

Thanks

Ken

Forgot to add that I can easily turn off this 4S with 3uTools and the battery charge has been stable.

Also the 3uTools battery info is good

If tell me how can provide Screen Captures for anything if the forum allows.  Did see the download icon but No upload.  Did I miss it?

Ken

Try booting it up while pressing the volume up button. It might take a while, but if it doesn't turn on after a while then don't bother...

Get the device into DFU mode and you could update it, which would remove the jailbreak

It's really upsetting if the iPhone gets into bootloop frequently and cannot use as normal.

What I do to escape this troublesome situation is using an UltFix iPhone System Recovery for Mac to fix system issue without data loss.

Better yet, it has ability to repair more problems like iPhone stuck in black screen, iPhone won't restore, iPhone no service, etc.

You can try booting it up while pressing the volume up button. You can get to know about how to know the jailbroken apps using this site  https://odindownload.com/root-android/

When your iPhone is stuck in boot loop status, there are 3 methods you can try:

1. Try to force restart your device to see whether it works. Just press and hold the Power and Home button on your iPhone 4s simultaneously for about 13 seconds. You will feel your iPhone vibrating, then it will automatically break the boot loop process.

2. Restore your device with iTunes. This is another way to break the boot loop status which is to rely on iTunes to restore your iPhone. Just connect your device to the computer, go to the Summary > Restore iPhone and confirm the actions. Wait for the process to complete.

3. Use a third-party iOS system restore software to fix it. Using iTunes to restore your iPhone will erase all the data on your device. If you don't want any data loss, you can try an iTunes alternative to fix your iPhone stuck in boot loop with ease. Just connect your device to the computer, choose a repair mode, download the firmware package and start to repair it. Done.

The jailbroken iPhone boot loop is usually caused by system file corruption. Repairing the iOS system helps to solve this problem. Or stopping jailbreaking can solve the problem.
