iOS8 app support

Apps: Goodnotes 4, nPlayer Plus

 

On iTunes store it says these apps "Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch."

 

I use iOS 8.4 on old iPad 2, 32bit.

 

These apps downloaded from this site don't work.  When run they just die, and when run from command line ssh they get "Killed: 9" immediately. 

 

Older versions of these apps from this site work on iOS8.   They had "os80" "univ" in their ipa filenames.  Newer ones don't, and mention "ok iOS 11" in the ipa filenames.

 

What is preventing the latest versions from working on iOS8? Did something change in the way they are cracked to only let them run on newer iOS versions? Can they be cracked to work on both iOS8 and iOS11?

 

 

nPlayer 3.9.3 works, newer 3.10.* versions do not.

"nPlayer_3.10.5_iOS 11 OK.ipa" does not work on iOS8

 

 

Goodnotes 4 12.21 works, newer versions don't. 

 

"GoodNotes_4.13.2_iOS 11 OK.ipa" does not work on iOS8
"GoodNotes_4.13.3_telefonbuch\ ok\ iOS\ 11.ipa" does not work on iOS8

 

 

Edit: I just randomly found one with "os80" in the filename (it has an orange ios10? tag on the download page): "GoodNotes 4 [Time Base Technology Limited] (v4.13.3 Univ DY os80 ok11)-user_hidden.rc337uh_102.ipa" and it works.

your issue is your device is 32bit.
most cracks today are for 64bit devices.

regardless of what appstore states about compatibility cracked apps are different.

as you have seen by my post of Goodnotes4 i make apps
compatible with all devices if possible.
that app is one while the other crackers can NOT do what i am doing.

always look in the following area: https://forum.iphone...crack-releases/
you will see in the title of my posts what OS compatibility the crack has and if it is 32bit compatible for older devices.

Interesting, okay, but the binaries in the iOS11-only cracked apps are "Fat" binaries and include 32bit, but not entitlements or some special sauce to let them run (if they are strictly 64bit they could strip out the 32bit and be smaller, but that is separate issue).

 

So why can't every cracker do what you are doing? Don't you want all apps from iTunes that can run on iOS8 32 bit  (and iOS11 64bit) to be universal and work everywhere possible? (like nPlayer Plus 3.9.3 and earlier did)?   Wouldn't that be better?

Unfortunately your release of nPlayer 3.10.7 doesn't work on 32bit iOS8 either, even though the nPlayer fat binary says it has 32bit compiled in.

 

$ file nPlayer
nPlayer: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures: [arm_v7:Mach-O executable arm_v7] [arm64]
nPlayer (for architecture armv7):    Mach-O executable arm_v7
nPlayer (for architecture arm64):    Mach-O 64-bit executable arm64

 

and the iTunes page says it should be ios8 compatible.

who cares what iTunes says.
decrypted apps are a totally different story.

really it's time you update your device if os8 is all you have.
support for those devices past a loooong time ago.
