Saw all web sites and tried many possible fixes, nothing worked, so I thought replacing battery is the only way, but hey? Internet people are lazy too, so you won't get helps always from them, so there you go, try this and enjoy!

Requirements:
  1. iOS Device (Mine is 4S, may work for other devices too)
  2. Windows 10
  3. Latest iTunes

Steps:
  1. Go to "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc"
  2. Right Click on the file called "hosts"
  3. Paste anywhere you want
  4. Plug your iPhone to your Computer
  5. Open iTunes
  6. Try restoring, 100% Worked for me.
  7. Move the "hosts" file (you moved in step 2) to "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" after restoring your iPhone.
  8. Thank me later.

I had this exact issue and thankfully your fix worked for me but recently my iTunes again crashed and I thought about restoring my iOS for my iPhone 8 and the error massage was called iPhone Error 4013 but realized it was more like a hardware related issue.

Actually, there are kinds of iTunes errors or iPhone errors we may meet in the process of using our devices.
Some errors are caused due to update or restore failure or possible software issues while others are hardware problems.
If you make sure nothing linked to hardware, you can give a further try to repair the issue with an Joyoshare iPhone iOS system recovery, which can cause no data loss.
Or it's available to check the solutions offered by Apple support team.

To fix iTunes error 29 or other iTunes errors, you can try a dedicated iTunes repair tool such as TunesKit iOS System Recovery which is capable of repairing various iOS and iTunes issues efficiently. The most important part of this software is that it will never cause any data loss while repairing your problems. You can just give it a shot.
