So, I've tried that. #Rasticrac v3.1.3 should have a faster launchtime.
(Perhaps a better iOS7/64bit support also).

Nope no luck with Moster Apps still D: (Tried x2 Monster Apps)

(At least, people can see that v3.1.3 launchtime is faster... I hope... Is start's delay shorter for you?)

tbh no real "noticeable" difference (like it might just be too small to really tell).

On my iPhone1/iOS313, the difference can be seen (ie: nearly x3 or x4 when there's a lot of installed apps). On newer iDevices, difference is small (ie: the only way to tell is to look at the "cache used" or "cache refreshed" notes).
(That's why this code was developed on my oldest iDevice) (and also because I don't have a recent iDevice).
At least, this optimization was "easy & clean & fast" to code, so the time-gain versus development-cost is positive. (More positive for older iDevices owners, though).

PS: in the forum's profile, one can't put "iPhone1" in the "iDevices Owned" list. Hey, I'm proud of my iPhone1!

Im actually curious about that. I have an old iPod Touch 2G lying around in my drawer. Would that actually be able to pretty much crack all types of apps? (e.g 64 bit / iOS 7 only apps?). Im thinking of just having it permanently hooked up with my PC and just use it as my cracking device. Would there be any real difference between using my iPod Touch 2G vs iPhone 5S (besides Speed e.g Compatibility)?

So how do you want to crack an app that requires iOS 4.3+ with your old iP 2G?

An iDevice can only crack cputypes less or equal than its hardware-cpu. (ie: an arm7 iDevice can only crack arm6 and/or arm7 parts; etc). An arm6 iDevice can crack only pure arm6 apps, or apps that have at least an arm6 part. Recent apps don't have anymore arm6 part, so an arm6 iDevice can't crack recent apps at all.
iOS-compatibility is also a problem. (ie: an iOS313 iDevice can't crack pure iOS4+ apps). Note that some apps have false/fake compatibility (ie: they say "iOS7 only" but are "iOS6 binary" inside; etc).
RemoteRasticrac sometimes crack some of these apps (ie: an iOS6 iDevice can't install an iOS7-only app, but sometimes RemoteRasticrac can crack it if the binary is iOS6-compatible in fact).

PS: I have some very old code (somewhere? where?) able to bypass iOS compatibility problems. (ie: my old iPhone1/iOS313 was able to crack some iOS4+ apps). Perhaps I should try to restore that code. (ie: an iOS6-iDevice should be able to crack iOS7-only apps sometimes; etc).

@iRastignac, how often do you encounter armv6 binaries in the wild now that Apple has deprecated them from the developer tools?

@NinjaLikesCheez @iRastignac in my experience every once in a while, there will be an app that supports iOS 3 LOL... but iOS 4.3.3 is pretty common, since many apps with amrv7 archs will support as low as possible.... however when apple implemented "download last compatible version (note: @iRastignac doesn't seem to work on ios 3, only ios 4 , i remember u talking on twitter about this...) it became possible to do some "legacy craking" of old version of apps to upload to whited00r's apptimemachine or regular cracksites for ppl with older devices to use...so really armv6 craking is still useful for that... but usually the lowest i commonly see ios 4.3.3 (armv7)

There are still some apps updated and told as "iOS3/arm6 compatible". They are rare. And some just don't work with iOS3/arm6 (ie: programmers says "they do" but they just crash because they really are not compatible).
DoodleJump used to be one of the last ones, but they stopped. Civilization Revolution still is updated. I think the GraalOnline serie is also still updated.

PS: Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing is also iOS3 compatible.

v3.1.4 is out.
it is NOT tested at all. Real danger! Perhaps IPAs are 100% rotten.
If you see error/crash in the syslog, copy-paste. That'll help.

Today, {Remote}Rasticrac's roadmap is... empty.

Now, the todo-list is... short:
- 64bit support must be fixed somehow.
- Perhaps a little speed gain can be shaved here or there.
- Texts/translations should be enhanced.
- Support for external GUIs should be verified.
- Someone asked me for "Cydia's cUtils" support.
- And that's all folks.

I have no fantastic future features or ideas at the moment.

(I don't even use Rasticrac anymore; I have nothing to crack; nothing runs on a 3GS nowadays!).

I'll see if I can get you a 64bit device

Have you hear someone is developing a new iOS decryption tool targeting real 64bit cracking?
